This is my eighty-sixth Foto Phriday post. The pictures today are from the Pacific Science Center. Full set with all 19 photos can be viewed here.
We put Coral in a baby bonnet the other day and it was too adorable to not take a picture. She's such a cute baby, but she doesn't smile or laugh as much as Julie did at this age. Very serious. She's been cleared to start eating meat protein, so we'll be starting that soon. She loves to eat. That's one area where she is acting better than Julie.
We finally had the chance to visit the King Tut exhibit at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle this past weekend. We've been wanting to go for awhile, but we've been busy. As you can see, Coral went along with us, but I'm not sure how much she appreciated the artifacts.
You can't take any photos in the King Tut exhibit. Like I said for the Harry Potter exhibition, I think that's just dumb. It's practically free advertising. Still, it was very impressive. Like Bethany said on Facebook, "It's amazing how detailed, beautiful, and
incredibly well intact these pieces are and it's just crazy to think
that I'm like a foot away from something that was made in biblical
times." If you live in the Seattle area, it's a must-see before it leaves North America for a long time in January.
After the exhibit, we explored the other parts of the science center again. Here are two raptors having some lunch.
The bug area is always a favorite. Especially the butterfly house.
Lots of butterflies waiting to come out.
This was the first time at the butterfly exhibit with my 5D, so it was fun to shoot there again. I even had a butterfly land on me for the first time!
Juliana can always spend a good amount of time here.
They give you diagrams that help you distinguish the different types of butterflies. There are a lot of varieties.
For dinner, we went to Pagliacci, my favorite pizza place in the whole wide world. Coral had her first taste of the stuff and liked it. To see more pictures of her or the science center, view the full set.
